Sure, I liked the band then, but they would become one of my all-time favorites during their second life starting in 2011. It showed me that the instrument had more potential beyond stuffy concert halls and Nashville honky-tonks, and set the stage for artists that would follow in their footsteps. I was immediately drawn to their sound not least because, a violinist myself, I thought it was super cool that a rock band had a violin as an integral part of its sound. Whatever the reason, I’m here now.īack in 2005, an ex-girlfriend introduced me to Yellowcard. Perhaps I didn’t want to accept that one of my all-time favorite bands was really gone. ![]() I realize I’ve taken an inordinately long time to post this, and I’m not really sure why.
